Dr. Newman became the MD/CEO of FITC in May 2009 from the Business Advisory and Performance Improvement Practice of the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria. She was also the 2012/2014 elected International Director on the Global Board of the International Society for Performance Improvement, (ISPI) and Chairman of the FSS 2020 Human Capital Development Implementation Committee from 2009 – 2012 and has been on the Executive Council of the West African Bankers’ Association (WABA from May 2009 to date).

Dr Newman is a Certified Performance Technologist of the International Society for Performance Improvement, USA, a Professional Member of the Development Executive Group of Washington DC, an authorized IFC/FITC Trainer under the IFC-Corporate Governance Programme and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Directors (IOD) and National Corporate Directors (NACD), USA. She is a graduate of both the Leadership Development Program for HR Practitioners [LDHRP] & The Leadership at the Peak [LAP] Programs of the Center for Creative Leadership [CCL] Colorado Springs, USA. A fellow of both The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Institute of Credit Administration (ICA).
